MCI Group – the Official Housing Bureau for COP26
We are delighted MCI has been appointed by the hosts of COP26, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, as the official housing bureau. With careful research and dedicated negotiations, MCI is working on your behalf to provide hotel rooms of a high-quality standard, across properties in Central Glasgow, the wider surrounding area and Edinburgh. Rates are very competitively priced and all properties have been carefully selected for their good to exceptional sustainability credentials.
Anticipating an attendance of 30,000 participants at COP26, MCI has secured a large number of hotel rooms at a wide range of price categories from budget through to high-end options.
It is extremely important to us that you are absolutely certain your accommodation reservation is assured, the associated payment secure and that you avoid any illegitimate accommodation sites or inappropriate demands for payment.
To avoid these sites and any scams, please be careful to only book your accommodation through this, the official housing website, where you can chose between Group, Individual and Alternative Housing options.
We would encourage you to plan and reserve your accommodation requirements for COP26 at the earliest possible through MCI the only official housing bureau for COP26.
Reservations and Login
Using the Portal, linked at the foot of the page, you will be able to book accommodation at a range of properties in and around the Glasgow area. The portal is split into the following categories:
- Individual Room
- Groups (20 rooms or less)
- Groups (21 rooms or more)
Accommodation options via our Partner Expedia are also available through this the Official Housing Website. Expedia options require full deposit payment by credit card to confirm your reservation.

Alternative Accommodation
MCI is working with Glasgow and Edinburgh Alternative Accommodation representatives to provide delegates seeking alternative accommodation to hotel options. Options will cover:
Hostel style accommodation: Appropriate for students over the age of 18. Hostels will offer basic accommodation in shared dormitories. Dormitories and associated bathroom facilities will be segregated between men and women. Hostels will include communal lounge areas and self catering facilities.
Airbnb: We are working with Airbnb representatives in Glasgow and Edinburgh to ensure a smooth and bonifide booking experience on selected properties in Glasgow and Edinburgh
Hosted Family Stays: We are working with representatives in Glasgow and Edinburgh to provide a select number of security-cleared hosted family stays specifically for students on an extremely limited budget who will need to qualified to be considered to be hosted by one of our families.
